🌱 The Hardest Practice Is Not Outside — It Starts From One Thought

This morning’s Dao De Jing class left me with one simple reminder:

Whatever we keep doing, slowly it becomes easier.
The first time may feel difficult.
The second time may still feel uncomfortable.
But as long as we continue, we slowly build courage, confidence, consistency, and determination.

Many things in life are not mastered because we are talented.
They are mastered because we did not stop halfway.

But today’s deeper learning is also this:

The most difficult thing in this world is not the action itself.
It is 起心动念 — the moment our thought and emotion first arise.

Because one thought can become one sentence.
One sentence can become one action.
One action can become someone’s reality.

Sometimes, the situation itself may not be the real cause of the ending.

In the ABC theory:

A = the event
B = our belief, emotion, and reaction
C = the final result

Very often, A is not what causes C.
It is B — our emotional reaction — that changes everything.

For example, a child may not do well in studies.
That is the event.
But if an adult reacts with anger, harsh words, or hurtful judgement, the final result may become something far more painful than the original problem.

So the issue may not be “bad results”.
The real turning point may be the emotion behind the response.

This reminds us:

When we are anxious, angry, or upset, we may unknowingly push things toward a bad ending.
But when we stay calm, pause, and allow things to unfold with clarity, many situations may not become as bad as we imagined.

Sometimes, peace gives fate a chance to arrange better.

So today’s reminder is:

Before we speak, pause.
Before we react, observe.
Before we hurt someone, remember that words have weight.

多关心身边的人。
Don’t wait until regret teaches us what love should have done earlier.

At the end of the day, we still have a choice.

We may not always control what happens.
But we can choose how we respond.
And that one choice may change the whole ending.

🌱 Reflection:
Consistency builds confidence.
Calmness protects relationships.
Awareness changes destiny.

Serenity

kindness, self-growth, daily reflection, and living with a clearer heart.
